ScotMed Herbs is a business supplying Medicinal and Culinary Herbs to Herbalists and members of the public.

Alan Steedman who owns and runs the business is a specialist grower of medicinal and culinary herbs.

At the same time as Alan set up ScotMed Herbs, Keren opened her Herbal dispensary in Kirkcaldy, Botanecosse. Keren buys the herbs from Alan and he sells her medicines in the shops. Keren is a fully qualified Herbalist and currently has clinics in Kirkcaldy, Crieff and Edinburgh. The two business have developed successfully with this symbiotic relationship and can now offer a full range of products direct to you via our on-line shop.

Like us Karen uses ingredients of the highest quality and tries to ensure the use of organically grown and ethically wild crafted plant material whenever possible.

BotanEcosse Herbal Products are hand-blended using the finest raw ingredients. They gather wild plants in Perthshire, organically grown herbs in Fife and buy other ingredients from small sustainable organic suppliers.

The packaging is kept simple so you pay for what's on the inside, not what's on the outside. All the ingredients are of the highest quality, and they try to ensure the use of organically grown or ethically wild-crafted plant materials whenever possible.

The products are not intended to replace consulting your herbalist or GP, rather we see them as safe, simple remedies that you can use at home for the whole family's health. If symptoms persist after trying a product seek advice from a Qualified Medical Herbalist.

As well as purchasing herbs from organically certified or ethically wild crafted sources we try where ever possible to ensure that no child or forced labour have been used in the manufacture of our products and that they are not tested on animals.

We also try whenever possible to recycle packaging materials from our suppliers and plant pots returned by our customers.
